I've worked in the music industry for a long time. I'm also a sound engineer and I think I've seen pretty much any live setup ever created. Most of the time I have some of the most expensive and current sound gear available to use. A lot of companies or vendors will seek my advice for feedback on different pieces of equipment.
A friend of mine who owns a music store asked me to try out a couple of the new Shure BLX wireless systems. He wants me to do a write-up for his monthly newsletter that he sends out to his clients.
I have to say that I was amazed at how good the sound quality was. I wasn't surprised at all though. Shure has been producing high quality music gear for decades now.
The thing I like most about the Shure BLX wireless systems is how small they are compared to some other units on the market. They're easy to transport, and yet they have all of the great features that you'll find on some of the larger rack mount models.
The BLX systems all have the quickscan feature which allows you to locate the best signal to use for a performance. You really can't find a better wireless mic for the price. I would recommend it to anyone.
